Tamchy SFIT and Hong Kong agree to develop cooperation

The Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory (SFIT) has opened cooperation talks with Hong Kong at a meeting between First Deputy Chairman of Tamchy SFIT Management Council Ayaz Baetov and Under Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury of the Hong Kong SAR Government Joseph Chan.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of Hong Kong FinTech Week 2026, held from November 2-6, which is one of the world's most significant events in the industry of finance and technology.

Chan expressed Hong Kong’s willingness to partner with Tamchy SFIT in developing a forward-looking financial environment and to strengthen cooperation with Kyrgyzstan and Tamchy SFIT in the fields of financial services and digital innovation.

He also invited Tamchy SFIT to attend the Asian Financial Forum in Hong Kong in January 2027 and offered to facilitate establishing connections with relevant government agencies and the local business community in Hong Kong.

Baetov, in turn, reaffirmed Tamchy SFIT’s commitment to expanding financial cooperation and exploring practical ways to work together. Both sides agreed to maintain direct contact and pursue more detailed discussions on potential areas of collaboration.
