Tamchy SFIT Announces New Executive Leadership Appointments

The Board of the Tamchy Special Financial Investment Territory (SFIT) has voted on a number of senior appointments to the jurisdiction's governing bodies.

Daniyar Amangeldiev, First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, has become the Chairman of Tamchy SFIT's Management Council. The Management Council is Tamchy SFIT’s highest governing body that defines its key strategic and development priorities.

Tamchy SFIT's Financial Regulator will be headed by Tilek Alimjanov, who has previously held senior positions in the financial and banking sectors. The Financial Regulator provides independent oversight of regulated activities, including licensing, in accordance with internationally recognised standards.

The Managing Company, which oversees infrastructure development and day-to-day operations, will add Egils Dzerelis as its deputy chief executive officer. Dzerelis, who was also elected as member of the Management Council, brings extensive international management and leadership experience.

Ayaz Baetov, Special Representative of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, is remaining on the Management Council as its First Deputy Chairman.
